Ready Steady Light is an architectural Competition ran by the Society of Light and Lighting and hosted on the Rose Bruford Campus. Competitors have a small amount of recourses and a limited amount of time to create a lighting design to a brief. Once the time is up the designs are judged. My Job as the Event Electrician was to design and provide the power infrastructure across the possible 15 sites around the college campus, and source the different equipment for the competitors to use. During the event my role was to ensure that the competitors were not having any technical issues, whilst I was not allowed to aid them in their design I was able to help them fix electrical issues. My other role was to ensure that competitors were obeying the rules set for the competition and working safely.
